Sam Brodsgaard, program supervisor, is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University, and a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. The son of a choir director and elementary school teacher, Mr. Sam has enjoyed a life-long love of music. Mr. Sam was a 2-year member of the Texas All-State Choir and has sung professionally since age 18, performing as a concert soloist with numerous Texas symphony orchestras, including the Las Colinas, Metrocrest, Garland, Waco, and Arlington Symphonies. Other notable appearances include guest soloist for the Van Cliburn Concert Series, as well as several diverse roles at Casa Manana Theater in Fort Worth. To share his love of music, Mr. Sam taught private voice lessons at several DFW school districts from 2001 to 2008. In 2009, Mr. Sam founded Metroplex Music Therapy. When he’s not teaching Kindermusik, Mr. Sam enjoys making a difference in the lives of people in addictions treatment centers, patients receiving hospice care, and residents of older adult communities.
